When I was younger I remember buying one of my family dogs shoes (side note: I grew up with six poodles). We bought the shoes to protect her little paws from the salted pavement during harsh winter months. While dog shoes can definitely protect precious paws during extreme weather and hikes, I will never forget the sight of her waddling around the kitchen table. She picked her paws up off the ground as high as she possibly could and gave her paw a shake. I couldn’t help but laugh! While she got better over time, the sight of a dog in shoes still cracks me up. I mean, have you ever seen a dog in shoes???? It’s pretty funny!!!
1) Slow and Steady Wins The Treat
2) Back .. Back … Back It Up!
3) Super Speed
4) It’s Much Easier On Two Paws
5) Drink Too Much From Your Water Bowl?
6) Practice Makes Perfect!
Has your dog ever worn shoes? If so, I want to see your pics! Share them in the comment section below.
The dogs with shoes was great gave me a laugh for the day.
So happy to hear that 🙂
I just adopted a Choc. Lab who I think was abused. She is afraid of EVERYTHING, noise & movements. She wants to hide in her crate constantly. I have had her a month. HELP
Hi Carol,
My very good friend has a rescue dog who was badly abused and faces the same issues that you just mentioned. I actually wrote an entire article on this topic. I hope it helps -> https://www.prouddogmom.com/calm-dog-anxiety/
