Recall Alert: Freeze-Dried Dog Food Recalled Due To Possible Salmonella

Yet another dog food company is voluntarily recalling select products as a result of possible salmonella contamination. This comes just weeks after a handful of other pet food companies issued notices over salmonella-contaminated foods and treats.

The latest recall is from Carnivore Meat Company. Company officials are urging customers to keep an eye out for their Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Beef Nibblets Entrée for Dogs.

What To Watch For

Very little information has been released about this recall. But, here’s what we do know: While Carnivore Meat Company is based out of Wisconson, their food is sold across the United States through independent retailers, Chewys.com, and Amazon.com.

Pet parents should look for one pound bags marked “Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Beef Nibblets Entrée for Dogs.” Recalled foods have the lot #13753.
