The holidays are right around the corner! For all of us dog moms that means we get to spoil our fur kids a little extra. Along with buying Diego and Gigi clothes, blankets, and even more plush toys to add to their collection, I like to make them fun holiday treats to help get them into the holiday spirit. Okay … not really sure if it gets them in the holiday spirit, but the treats certainly make them happy!
Along with making homemade treats for my dogs, they also make great gifts for other dog moms! Bake the treats, put them in a jazzed up Mason jar with some ribbon or glitter, and voila … you’ve just created a great gift!
If you’re like me, and you’re looking for some cute holiday recipes, then you’ve come to the right place. I recently teamed up with the dog travel & outdoor gear company Kurgo for their holiday cookbook. It was an honor to contribute a few of my Proud Dog Mom treat recipes to their book and I’m super excited to share it with all of you today!
The Kurgo Holiday Cookbook is filled with 15 healthy dog treat recipes from various bloggers and treat production companies. Inside, you’ll find everything from candy cane shaped cookies to “mistletoe meatballs.” So cute, right? From Proud Dog Mom, you’ll find our new Christmas Cookies treat recipe that’s made with a blend of gluten-free flours, strawberries, and mint leaves. You’ll also get our Sweet Potato Pupfries and Peanut Butter Pumpkin Biscuits!
