Smartphone apps for my canine kids – I just can’t get enough of them. Can you? Since I published this list of 15 Must Have Apps For Dog Parents, my list has grown. So I put together a new post featuring five of my new favorites. Included are lifestyle apps that map you and your pooch as you walk, help you check on him while you’re not home, assist you in finding a sitter or dog walker, help you find dog-friendly places such as restaurants, parks, playdates, and more. There’s even one that will contribute money to a local canine charity just for taking your fur baby for a walk! Check them out below and let me know what you think. If you have your own favorites that you use with your canine kids then let me know in the comments section below.
Walk for a Dog
How great it this? Just by taking your canine kids out for a walk you’ll be able to support your local animal charity. All you have to do is use the app each time you walk your dog. The app will track and map your walk. Giving to your local animal organization can’t get any easier than this. How’s that for motivation?! Remember, the more you walk, the more fit you and your pooch will become and the more $$$ will be donated to your cause.
Map My Walk
Turn an ordinary walk into a fun and motivational experience for both you and Fido with the Map My Walk app. Just grab your pooch’s leash, hook him onto it and open the Map My Walk app. This app will make your walk more fun while it tracks and maps your every step through its real-time GPS locator.
