Apple Cinnamon DIY Dog Donut Cookies

I know that it’s summer, but I can’t seem to let go of the fall apple/cinnamon flavors. It’s one of my favorite flavor combos of all times. Since I love it so much, I figured my dogs would too. Turns out, I was right. They are going crazy over these all-natural apple cinnamon dog donut cookies (shaped like a donut with the consistency of a biscuit)!

You don’t need any fancy tools to make these homemade treats. I simply used a round cookie cutter to make the large circle and an olive oil/ vinegar bottle topper to make the little circle. Just find something that’s round in your kitchen and start cutting!

The cool thing about making these is you’ll get two sets of treats out of one batch. Along with the actual donut, you can use the extra dough to make munchkins!

In the top photo, you’ll notice I have iced my “donuts.” I used Greek yogurt and honey to make this icing. You certainly don’t need to add this layer, but it makes them look pretty, bumps up the nutritional value, and gives your pups an extra flavor to enjoy.

  6. Knead dough ball with your hands for 3-5 minutes, until it is thoroughly combined.
