Dog Treats Recalled Due to Potential Metal Contamination

If you love to treat your dog with something yummy then listen up! Dog treats from two popular name brands — Barkworthies and Best Bully Sticks — are recalled because they may be contaminated with foreign metal objects.

What’s Recalled

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) issued a nationwide warning to dog parents regarding a recall of 3,551 bags of Green Tripe dog treats. The treats were produced by Virginia-based TDBBS LLC and sold under the “Barkworthies” and “Best Bully Sticks” brand names. The recalled products were distributed between February to May 2024. They were sold in retail stores across the country and through online mail orders. This is a limited voluntary recall that is only affecting the following products/lots (if viewing this notice on your cellphone, you may need to scroll to the right to see all information):

So, if you think your pup may have consumed these recalled treats, it’s important to remain vigilant. Monitor your dog for any signs of illness or unusual behavior. If you notice any changes in your dog, contact your veterinarian immediately.
