If your dog gnaws on dental chews to help keep their chompers pearly white, listen up. Ark Naturals Company is currently recalling three of their Ark Naturals Brushless Toothpaste Value Packs. It’s over a missing ingredient that prohibits mold from growing.
The CEOs of Ark Naturals published a voluntary recall notice stating, “We recently learned that a supplier inadvertently omitted a mold-inhibiting ingredient from the formulation of a limited subset of our products (only 3 specific products are affected, which are listed below). After investigating the situation, we initiated a voluntary recall as a preventative measure for these products due to a chance of mold forming before the product reaches the end of its shelf life.”
There haven’t been any confirmed illnesses linked to the ingestion of the recalled chews.

Do You Use These Ark Naturals Dental Chews?
If you’ve purchased the recalled product and still have chews left, Ark Naturals recommends you dispose of them immediately. You can also email the company at customerservice@arknaturals.com with your purchase receipt, a photo of your product/lot code on the package, and they will send you a replacement free of charge.
If your dog has already consumed the recalled product and hasn’t experienced any reactions (such as upset stomach, vomiting, or diarrhea), they should be fine. If your dog seems ill, though, please consult your veterinarian asap.
