Beef Bark: An Easy Dog Treat Recipe

Get ready to send your dog’s tail into a wagging frenzy with our latest treat creation: Beef Bark! It combines the savory taste and aroma of beef jerky with a satisfying chip-like texture. Thanks to the thin and super crunchy nature of these treats, they’re perfect for dogs of all ages. Yup, even senior dogs with dental issues can enjoy them! So, if your pup has a few missing teeth – or none at all – they can finally look forward to a crunchy bite! Another plus? These treats call for 1 ingredient and require just a few minutes of prep time.

The Only Ingredient You Need

To make these treats, you’ll need one box of The Honest Kitchen’s Beef Stew Pour Overs. In case you aren’t familiar with this product, The Honest Kitchen’s Pour Overs line is technically a variety of dog food toppers. Each box is created with a veterinarian nutritionist and made with a small list of wholesome ingredients.

While I’m suggesting using the Beef Stew Pour Overs for these treats, you can use any Pour Overs type you would like. I often switch between the Beef Stew and their Chicken & Pumpkin Stew

Wet Topper to Crunchy Beef Bark Treat?

It may seem strange to use a wet food topper to create a crunchy treat. But, when you thinly spread this mixture onto a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet and dehydrate it in the oven at a low temperature for a couple of hours, you are left with a tantalizing dog treat!
