DIY Natural Anti-Itch Spray For Dogs

Has your dog been scratching a lot lately? What about biting at his paws, legs, or back trying to relieve himself of that annoying tingling sensation? Last night my neighbor came over for a drink and she was telling me that her pooch has been scratching … a lot. She whipped up a natural anti-itch solution and it worked wonders. When I saw her pup last night she didn’t even scratch herself once. If your pup is getting attacked by an itchy feeling, try making a bottle of this anti-itch spray for dogs.

This recipe was made by pet nutrition blogger Rodney Habib. It’s designed to soothe itchy skin, calm rashes and welts, restore skin pH, and may help keep biting flies, fleas, and gnats away. Watch the video for his amazing recipe:

Mix the following ingredients together in a bottle/jar with cap and shake well before use:

  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brewed green tea (cooled)
  • 1 cup distilled water
  • Apply to clean skin and coat, massage, rinse, and pat dry.

NOTES

Apple cider vinegar is extremely versatile and benefits the body in many ways. To reap the greatest benefits, use an organic, unfiltered, and unprocessed vinegar. It should look a bit cloudy and you may even notice a cobweb-like substance floating in the bottle. Don’t let that scare you. This is actually desired. It’s called the “mother,” which means it still contains beneficial compounds.
